Job Summary: The Executive Director is responsible for organizing events, managing memberships, participating in industry boards and committees, and maintaining relationships with members and state agencies. This position requires event planning experience, knowledge of masonry and building codes, strong communication and organizational skills, and managing financial and administrative responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Organize and conduct all in-person and virtual meetings and events, including the Annual Spring and Fall Conferences, Safety Workshop sessions, and the Annual Golf Tournament.
· Participate in various outside industry boards and events, such as the MCAA Upstate New York Board of Directors, Building Industry Employers of NYS Board of Directors, and Masonry Alliance for Codes and Standards Board of Directors.
· Participate on various NCMA/CMHA committees and task groups, including the NCMA/CMHA Regional Executives, Masonry Technical Subcommittee, and Energy Task Group.
· Create yearly budget for board approval and work closely with Association Treasurer on monthly bookkeeping.
· Seek new Producer and Associate members, maintain relationships with existing members, and assist members with technical questions/problems.
· Create and present AIA approved PowerPoint presentations to designers and participate in member events and webinars.
· Develop and/or continue relationships with appropriate state agencies and attend building and fire code meetings when appropriate.
· Visit all NYS concrete block manufacturing facilities at least 1-2 times per year.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
· Minimum of three years experience in event planning and membership coordination.
· Masonry and Building code knowledge
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; QuickBooks; Constant Contact e-mail program; website management platform; and GoToMeeting virtual work platform.
· Must be able to travel 25-50% of the time.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
