Duties Description
The Student Assistant will provide support for the Office of Public Safety (OPS), Law Enforcement Strategic Assistance Unit (LESAU) by assisting the supervisors of the Field Operations and Special Projects sections. Field Operations oversees the Gun Involved Violence Elimination (GIVE) initiative and the newly implemented Statewide Targeted Reductions in Intimate-Partner Violence (STRIVE) initiative. The intern will assist with updating content and contacts for the existing GIVE external SharePoint site and assist with the updating of the OPS/LESAU SharePoint site. The intern will also assist the Special Projects section with coordination and preparation for the Annual Public Safety Symposium.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Must be a current student enrolled in a matriculating degree program and have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four-year college or university.
Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate would possess experience with Microsoft 365, research experience, and strong written and verbal communication.

Salary : $16 - $19
