Fostering aculture of connectedness and continuous improvement, through collaboration andstrong partnerships with clinical, multidisciplinary and operational leaders,you will aim to deliver high-quality patient care and outcomes. You will beresponsible for leading, motivating and inspiring AHST colleagues, and the widerhealth workforce. Ensuring the deliveryof safe, high quality patient care, clinical strategies and achievement of HealthNew Zealand - s goals. As a member of the District Leadership Team, the District ChiefAllied Health, Scientific and Technical has a critical role in providing anddemonstrating leadership including accountability for managing healthresources. The role will role modelinterprofessional working and lead the development of advanced and extendedpractice which support alternative service delivery models, taking a whole ofsystem approach to alternative models of care. This is anideal opportunity for a senior allied health, scientific and technical professionalwith relevant leadership experience to step into.About the Team / Service / LocationThe Chief Allied Health,Scientific and Technical is a senior clinical leadership role based within thedistrict. Reporting directly to the Group Director of Operations (GDO) with adotted professional line to the Regional Chief Allied Health Scientific andTechnical (once appointed). About youThe ideal candidate should be a dynamic senior leader withrelevant experience within the New Zealand health system.You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills including theability to negotiate, resolve conflict and positively influence and motivateothers. You will be a problem solver and system thinker who can effectivelymitigate a wide range of risks and issues. You work in a collegialmanner and have the desire to work with others to achieve results and shareknowledge and expertise to support the growth of the team.
  • A registered professional with extensive experience in andknowledge of the health sector.
  • 5 years - relevant senior clinical leadership experience
  • In depth knowledge and experience related to clinical serviceprovisions.
  • In depth experience in and knowledge of clinical quality and bestpractice and improving care delivery.
  • Strategic leadership capability with proven ability to develop andimplement innovative solutions that drive long term success.
  • Experienced in identifying and driving continuous improvement toenhance process and deliver high quality health outcomes.
  • Proven ability to provide professional advice to team members inrelation to clinical and operational skills and practice.
  • Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or acommitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning andgrowth
  • Experience in quality improvementprojects or initiatives such as patient and whānau outcomes andexperience, which give effect to TeTiriti principles and equity-based frameworks, and / or the application ofMātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply inhealthcare settings.Working for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora means - the weaving of wellness - .
