About the Role
The District Chief Allied Health, Scientific and Technical providesstrategic district clinical leadership, management oversight, and support forAllied Health, Scientific and Technical (AHST) services regionally. Fostering aculture of connectedness and continuous improvement, through collaboration andstrong partnerships with clinical, multidisciplinary and operational leaders,you will aim to deliver high-quality patient care and outcomes. You will beresponsible for leading, motivating and inspiring AHST colleagues, and the widerhealth workforce. Ensuring the deliveryof safe, high quality patient care, clinical strategies and achievement of HealthNew Zealand - s goals. As a member of the District Leadership Team, the District ChiefAllied Health, Scientific and Technical has a critical role in providing anddemonstrating leadership including accountability for managing healthresources. The role will role modelinterprofessional working and lead the development of advanced and extendedpractice which support alternative service delivery models, taking a whole ofsystem approach to alternative models of care.

About the Team / Service / Location
The Chief Allied Health,Scientific and Technical is a senior clinical leadership role based within thedistrict. Reporting directly to the Group Director of Operations (GDO) with adotted professional line to the Regional Chief Allied Health Scientific andTechnical (once appointed).
About you
The ideal candidate should be a dynamic senior leader withrelevant experience within the New Zealand health system.You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills including theability to negotiate, resolve conflict and positively influence and motivateothers. You will be a problem solver and system thinker who can effectivelymitigate a wide range of risks and issues. You work in a collegialmanner and have the desire to work with others to achieve results and shareknowledge and expertise to support the growth of the team.
