Description
The Project Engineer utilizes his or her technical, project management, and problem-solving skills to organize group efforts and execute tasks towards company goals in areas such as new product development, supply chain/change management, manufacturing, and continuous improvement efforts. The Project Engineer must use software tools to create and maintain measurable progress metrics that can be communicated regularly to stakeholders.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and complete engineering tasks such as:
- Coordinate with other departments to define product/project requirements.
- Communicate with outside vendors to engineer potential project solutions
- Write, plan and execute testing protocols as well as methods, plans, reports, and work instructions to help achieve project deliverables.
- Execute NewAge’s defined Stage-Gate and Scrum processes to progress on projects.
- Manage a cross functional team to complete project deliverables.
- Develop full project plans that follow a defined project management framework and maintain schedules using Microsoft Project software tools.
- Run project team meetings and effectively manage assigned tasks for team members both inside and outside the engineering department.
- Monitor, measure, and communicate progress and potential risks/delays to stakeholders and leadership on a regular basis.
- Communicate effectively working with all departments and ensure their engineering needs are effectively prioritized and executed in a timely fashion.
- Learn new technologies and methodologies to improve fact-based decision making.
- Work as a team player with all team members, vendors, suppliers, and customers.
Requirements
- B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Materials Science, Biomedical preferred).
- 0-3 years of experience in managing Engineering or cross-functional team projects.
- Project Management education/certification (CAPM, PMP, CSM, etc.) is a plus.
- Experience with plastics/silicone extrusion/injection molding is a plus.
