The Payroll/Accounts Payable Coordinator is a multifaceted role within the Finance Department. A successful incumbent holds the primary responsibility of accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payrolls. Additionally, the role performs duties associated with accounts payable but not limited to other Finance Department responsibilities as necessary. This team member serves as back up to the Accounts Payable Coordinator. Effective communication is a must as the Payroll/Accounts Payable Coordinator works closely with other members of the Finance and Human Resources teams as well as regular interaction with hospital leadership, staff, and outside vendors who provide goods and services to the hospital.
Requirements
Education:
• Completion of courses in computer processing and bookkeeping.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree in accounting preferred.
Experience:
• Two (2) years of payroll experience – hospital/healthcare setting highly preferred.
• Enterprise Resource Planning software proficiency: Excel, Teams, Paylocity, Meditech, Adobe, and Microsoft 365 applications preferred.
