Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and patient Early Childhood Educator to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for young children (infants to preschool age). You will help promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through structured play, daily routines, and age-appropriate learning activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and monitor the safety of children in your care at all times
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Support emotional and social development, encouraging positive self-concepts
- Maintain open and respectful communication with parents and guardians
- Observe and assess children’s development and keep accurate records
- Help with feeding, diapering/toileting, and rest periods as needed
- Ensure the classroom and play areas are clean, safe, and well-organized
- Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and staff
- Follow licensing regulations and center policies
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred)
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous experience in a licensed daycare or childcare setting
- Understanding of child development principles and best practices
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and be on your feet most of the day
