Full Time: Physical Education Health & Wellness Teacher Grades 4-8
Rupert A. Nock Middle School & Edward G. Molin Upper Elementary
The Nock Middle and the Molin Upper Elementary seek a 1.0 Physical Education Instructor that would be shared between both schools. The ideal candidate should hold a health and PE license in Massachusetts PK-8. This position will focus on a variety of comprehensive standards developed by the NockMo Phys. Ed Department along with social emotional health while laying the foundation to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
The successful candidate will:
Evaluate individual students using department-developed common assessment tools, maintain up-to-date records of student progress
Create an atmosphere of mutual support in which collaboration of many activities will focus upon 21st century skills such as, problem solving, communication, encouragement and interpersonal skills.
Collaborate with members of the PreK-12 Wellness & Health department to review, develop and execute a rigorous curriculum aligned to the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.
Plan engaging lessons in order to implement and support a very strong established program
Develop, model, and practice classroom procedures and routines.
Be a Team Player
Modify instructional practices to meet individual student needs.
Communicate high expectations for all learners, as well as realistic and consistent expectations for student behavior and apply appropriate consequences.
Must hold DESE License Physical Education and Health & SEI Endorsed
At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred
Knowledge of Yoga/mindfulness in schools or yoga certification preferred
Citizenship, residency or work visa required
