TheFinance Shared Service Center Accounting (FSSC) is accountable to run the AccountsPayable processes and takes care of transactional accounting in the generalledgers for all businesses of NewCold in the Americas. The team lead FSSC basedin Chicago is supervised by the Manager FSSC Accounting based in theNetherlands (HQ).
Aboutthe vacancy
Tosupport our further worldwide growth, we are looking to recruit a Team Lead tojoin our team. You will be responsible for coordinating our FinancialAccountants (2FTE) and our Accounts Payable Specialists (3FTE) based in ourChicago office to make sure we meet the agreed service levels.
Responsibilities
Perform supervisory duties, including but not limited to hiring, training, evaluating, coaching, and disciplining direct reports. Fosters a positive and engaged work environment.
Works with other functional areas in NewCold to achieve efficient and effective accounting practices and responds to and requests from other functional areas on various inquiries.
Implement the designed processes in the Americas regions
Audits, invoices and expense reports, for accuracy and compliance with company policy.
Coordinates efforts with internal and external auditors in relation to integrity of cash receipt and disbursement controls and performs procedural updates as necessary.
Reviews, analyzes, and reconciles accounts in conjunction with the team
RequiredEducation and Experience
Min Bachelor's degree in accounting / finance or equivalent related work experience
5-15 years' experience in accounting / finance
Min 5 years of Team Lead or Supervisory experience
RequiredSkills and Abilities
Competent knowledge of accounting / finance and general ledger reporting, account reconciliations, month end close process
NetSuite ERP experience
Advanced interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to coordinate, mentor and develop staff
Ability to foster teamwork and service-focused environment
Ability to be flexible when needed, take initiative, and demonstrate accountability
Intermediate level of investigative, analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to set goals and handle multiple tasks, clients, and projects simultaneously, to appropriately balance priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
Ability to translate business needs and problems into solutions
