Shared Services Accounting Coordinator
Summary of the Role:
The Shared Services Accounting Coordinator at Wurkwel Ventures will play an important role in supporting various administrative and financial functions across the Wurkwel portfolio. This position is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to take on a diverse set of responsibilities. While accounting tasks will be the primary focus, this role will also involve coordinating company travel, managing company events and outings, and supporting general administrative functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable:
- Manage accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and payment collections.
- Follow up on outstanding invoices and communicate with clients regarding payment status.
- Work closely with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and maintain accurate records.
- Prepare and post journal entries, assist with financial reconciliations, and track budget allocations.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including financial reporting and reconciliations.
- Assist in monitoring expenses, reviewing reports, and reconciling monthly credit card statements.
- Work closely with the company’s HR consulting team, who will oversee payroll and benefits administration.
- Assist in gathering and relaying necessary payroll or benefits information to the HR consultants to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain internal documentation related to payroll and benefits processes.
- Coordinate travel arrangements for employees, ensuring cost-effective and efficient travel planning.
- Manage logistics for corporate gatherings, ensuring smooth execution.
- Handle various administrative duties to support different departments as needed.
- Participate in special projects related to finance, HR, and operations.
- Provide general office support and ensure smooth communication between teams.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in accounting, accounts receivable, payroll administration, or financial reporting.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Familiarity with accounting and payroll systems (e.g., Paychex, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with financial reporting tools.
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on multiple tasks.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to taking on new responsibilities.
