Job Summary:
The New Account Opening/Repapering Analyst is the paperwork and account opening specialist for NewEdge Securities, the Broker Dealer affiliate of NewEdge Capital. This includes accounts held at National Financial Services (NFS) as well as accounts held directly at various fund sponsors.
The position will support the transition team with the onboarding of new financial advisor teams to NewEdge Securities. The duties may include, but are not limited to, data intake and entry, form population, document delivery to clients, new account opening. Understanding and collaboration will be required to liaise with back-office staff and custodians. During a transition, the assistance is multi-pronged: traveling onsite and helping the team send out paperwork while also supporting New Account in account opening and submitting transfers.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist with client on-boarding during transitions
- Understand the new account workflow for generating client paperwork
- Review and establish new accounts in accordance with policies and procedures
- Perform back-office functions such as data entry
- Use knowledge to provide guidance and intervention when needed
- Respond to client requests promptly and accurately
- Work collaboratively with associates, advisors, managers and end-clients
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred or an equivalent combination of education and work
- Experience using one or more of these systems (Orion, Salesforce, Fidelity Wealthscape) is a plus
- Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to adapt to an ever-changing work environment and operational processes
- Ability to quickly develop the necessary skills or knowledge to address and support a new product or procedure
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously while ensuring the overall quality of the work processed
- Perform assigned functions within established timeframes
- Appreciation for compliance and adherence to various rules and regulations
