Job Description:
At New Health MD, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients in a warm and welcoming environment. We are looking for a motivated and organized Front Desk Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our clinic, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring they have a seamless and positive experience from the moment they walk in.
The Front Desk Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the front office operations of the medical clinic, including patient check-in/check-out, scheduling appointments, answering phones, managing patient records, and ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the front desk. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to multitask effectively, and experience working with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly eClinicalWorks.
Key Responsibilities:
· Greet patients with a friendly and professional demeanor upon arrival.
· Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accurate demographic and insurance information.
· Schedule patient appointments, confirm appointments, and handle cancellations.
· Answer & direct phone calls, responding to patient inquiries, and taking messages when necessary.
· Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations for patient visits.
· Collect co-pays and process patient payments.
· Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and effective communication.
· Ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
· Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Experience in medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
· Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
· Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
· Proficiency in Spanish (Required), Microsoft Office and medical record management/EMR software (preferably eClinicalWorks)
