Job Description:
DUTIES PERFORMED:
- Responsible for the setup and implementation of designated information systems, under the direction of the IT Services Director. Documents all aspects of the setup and implementation process.
- Responsible for the validity and accuracy of information reports obtained from designated information systems.
- Develops and maintains operational manuals for designated information systems.
- Ensures that all scheduled backups of database information are successfully completed. Reports any concerns to the IT Services Director immediately.
- Ensures that designated information systems are up-to-date with the latest software and anti-virus updates.
- Coordinates with the IT Project Specialist(s) to provide troubleshooting for computer hardware and software issues throughout the organization for various systems and stand along computers, as needed.
- Assists the Network Administrator with the completion of periodic internal security compliance audits at lease annually. Corrects any security issues identified during the assessment.
- Responsible for the completion of an annual software audit to ensure licensure compliance and to identify additional resources needs. Initiates purchase requisitions as required.
- Assists the Network Administrator with required data recovery efforts.
- Responsible for researching and resolving problems with reports, data, and minor database issues.
- Serves as a resource to staff for questions pertaining to data measures.
- Documents expenditures related to designated information systems. Reports any concerns to the IT Services Director.
- Collects required information needed to prepare the annual IT budget, cost reports, and other special reports as needed.
- Prepares and presents monthly/annual reports and special reports to the IT Services Director, as required.
- Maintains an updated inventory list (by unit/satellite) and contacts list for assigned computer hardware/software vendors.
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with all computer hardware/software vendors, Executive Management, supervisors and other personnel.
- Must hold all patient Protected Health Information (PHI), other patient personal information and agency information in confidence.
