What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager Tourism position at Newlink®?
A manager to lead existing portfolio of clients in our tourism area of expertise, support new business development efforts, create client programs and lead, attract and serve as a mentor for the best talent. In this role you will have the following responsibilities:
- Provide the highest level of client service through proactive account management
- Support the tourism area of expertise’s leader with daily management
- Research, plan, develop and lead strategic, comprehensive communications campaigns targeted to a wide range of stakeholders
- Contribute to new business process, including identifying new business opportunities while also assisting in research and preparation of new business proposals required by the area’s KPIs
- Define scope of work, oversee quality and operational performance of accounts, while ensuring work quality and deadline adherence setting client expectations for the team
- Participate in forecasting and managing budgets while demonstrating the ability to effectively manage projects to maintain profitability and revenue targets
- Develop tactical and strategic communications plans for clients in media relations
- Create and drive outreach plans, message development, event management, media training and strategy sessions
- Responsible for inspiring, managing, evaluating, developing and mentoring employees
- Supervise and oversee staff’s work to ensure quality and consistency, and provide ongoing constructive feedback on performance, compliance and ethical business conduct
