Your Impact

In this critical role, you will ensure the smooth delivery & execution of Newmont’s annual compensation and performance planning cycle. Your expertise in annual compensation planning, data analysis, and HR systems, will help shape fair, competitive, and strategic compensation decisions that drive employee engagement and business success.

As Part of Our Team, You Will

  • Lead the annual compensation planning cycle, including merit increases and incentive programs.
  • Partner with key stakeholders on data integrity & data management within HR systems to ensure accurate and efficient compensation processes.
  • Conduct compensation analyses and reporting to support business decisions.
  • Collaborate with regional compensation teams, the global Talent team, and HR partners to align performance and pay strategies.
  • Continuously improve compensation processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with pay transparency, internal policies, and global compensation regulations.

Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or Finance; Compensation experience with performance management is desired.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel, HRIS systems (Workday, SuccessFactors, etc.), and compensation analytics.
  • Analytical & Project Management: Ability to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and support compensation planning cycles.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Strong ability to engage with HR teams and leadership to drive strategic pay decisions.

You’ll manage the global compensation cycles ensuring fairness and compliance while optimizing processes and enhancing the overall experience for our leaders and employees.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $110,160 - 144,585. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.

This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
