Your Impact

The Specialist, HRIS and Compliance is responsible for managing and overseeing HR systems while ensuring compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) regulations. This role focuses on data integrity, internal audits, regulatory compliance, and HRIS projects.The specialist works closely with internal auditors, IT teams, and HR staff to implement compliant HRIS processes, conduct system audits, and validate data accuracy.

As part of our team you will

  • Ensure HRIS processes and documentation meet SOX requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with SOX and other regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of HR data through regular audits and validations.
  • Collaborate with IT staff to perform regular tests and upgrades to the HRIS.
  • Provide support for HR, including researching and resolving HR problems, unexpected results or process flaws; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet business requirements.
  • Serve as a global HR systems subject matter expert, applying knowledge to develop and maintain effective system utilization and accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain system administration documentation, updating regularly as determined by evolving business needs and processes.
  • Liaise with global HR stakeholders to identify, define and ensure governance of levels of systems access/user profiles.
Prerequisites for your success in this role

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Certifications in SOX compliance, HR technology, or data security are a plus.
  • 5 years of relevant human resources experience or combination of education and experience in process design and technology support.
  • 5 years of experience designing and implementing HRIS systems, HRIS integrations and HR Data Management.
  • Hands-on experience ensuring HRIS adherence to SOX, GDPR, and other local HR regulatory requirements.
  • Expertise in the use and administration of the SAP SuccessFactors modules and functionality is required.
  • Proven ability to conduct HRIS audits, regulatory assessments, and ensure data integrity.
  • Experience in project management and HRIS process improvement.
Your work environment

  • The preferred location for this role is our headquarters in Denver, CO but qualified candidates in proximity to any of our operations or regional offices are encouraged to apply as remote or hybrid arrangements may be considered.
  • If hired in Canada the applicable base salary range is CAD $116,000-152,250

The salary range offered for this role is USD $108,000-141,750. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
