JOB SUMMARY: INTERACTS WITH PROSPECTIVE AND CURRENT PATIENTS IN PERSON, BY PHONE AND EMAIL. COORDINATES PRE/POST-OPERATIVE APPOINTMENTS AND FOLLOWS UP WITH PATIENTS; BOOKING PATIENTS FOR SURGERY AND WALKING THEM THROUGH THE SURGICAL PROCESS. PERFORMS GENERAL OFFICE DUTIES TO ENSURE SMOOTH PRACTICE FLOW AND EFFICIENCY WHICH INCLUDES PATIENT SCHEDULING, INSURANCE VERIFICATION, PAYMENT COLLECTION.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Patient reception, telephone and greeting
Greets and orients patients as they arrive for their appointments; helps patients feel relaxed and welcomed
Answers telephone calls promptly in a friendly and helpful manner.
Triages all calls to appropriate personnel.
Schedules appointments on an as-able basis.
Assists patients as they check in and check out
Assist other team members when needed
Patient Coordinator Duties
Prepares patient for consultation, assist with patient education, prepares and delivers surgical procedure information, and surgical quotes.
Assist patient with all aspects of pre-operative and post-operative care to promote confidence in their medical care thereby making the surgical experience as smooth as possible.
Surgical scheduling, insurance verification, managing surgical charts, consents, instructions, prescriptions and ensuring that appropriate preoperative test, clearance, and labs are received.
Maintains surgical schedule for Dr. Savalia
Orders surgical supplies needed from surgical center for scheduled cases
Collects payment
Responsible for any EDD, Disability, Family Leave paperwork
Salary : $18 - $25
