Job Summary :
Direct the organization's financial planning and accounting practices as well as its relationship with lending institutions, shareholders, and the financial community. Oversees and directs treasury, budgeting, audits, taxes, accounting, purchasing, real estate, and insurance activities for the organization. Directs the Controller in providing and directing procedures and systems necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting controls and services. Appraises the organization's financial position and issues periodic financial and operating reports. Analyzes, consolidates, and directs all cost accounting procedures together with other statistical and routine reports. Directs and analyzes studies of general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the organization's policies and operations.
Essential Job Functions :
- Collaborate in the development of the district's plans and programs as a strategic partner.
- Defines and implements key performance indications and strategic objectives for each division and, as appropriate, the entire organization, facilitates measurement of the objectives, reporting results to the executive team.
- Facilitates implementation of new systems and major modifications of existing systems to reduce downtime.
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's fiscal function and performance.
- Appraises the organization's financial position and issues periodic financial and operating reports.
- Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs / strategies and regulatory action.
- Oversees and directs treasury, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, purchasing, real estate and insurance activities for the organization.
Education Background and Experience Requirements
Minimum Education :
Master's degree in accounting or finance
Required Licensure / Certifications :
Required Experience :
Must have a thorough knowledge of accounting, finance, reimbursement, budgeting, credit and collection as relates to healthcare.
5 or more years of experience at a Senior Level of management within a Health Care organization. Proven record building relationships with board members, physicians, employees and the community.
Preferred Qualifications :
5 years as CFO in a Hospital or Health Care setting.
