About the Role

- CPA or advanced degree in Accounting
- Strong knowledge and experience in nonprofit accounting principles (GAAP) and fund accounting.

- Proficiency in financial forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
- Understanding of risk management and investment strategies for nonprofit organizations.
Operational & Business Acumen
- Experience overseeing Finance, Accounting, and operations including IT, and Facilities.
- Ability to streamline financial processes and implement technology-driven solutions.
- Knowledge of organizational infrastructure, contracts, and vendor management.
Leadership & Communication
- Strong ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience presenting financial reports and strategic recommendations to Board members and executive teams.
- Leadership in building, mentoring, and developing high-performing finance and operations teams.
Grant & Fund Management
- Expertise in grant tracking, financial compliance, and multi-source funding management.
- Experience working with government, private, and foundation grants.
- Ability to ensure financial sustainability through diverse revenue streams.
Technology & Systems Proficiency
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Blackbaud, or similar nonprofit financial systems).
- Knowledge of IT best practices, cybersecurity, and financial system integrations.
- Comfortable leveraging data analytics tools for decision-making.
