Responsibilities:
· Conduct regular inspections of machinery, equipment, and facilities to identify and address maintenance needs.
· Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the continued efficiency and reliability of production equipment.
· Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in welding and fabrication machinery.
· Utilize carpentry skills for building maintenance, including repairs and improvements.
· Familiarity with welding and power supplies, ensuring their proper functioning.
· Knowledge and experience with CNC equipment maintenance.
· Act as a self-reliant team player, collaborating with colleagues and other departments.
· Must be able to prioritize work effectively to maintain shop production progress.
· Demonstrate good communication skills, both oral and written, for effective team coordination.
· Coordinate with outside contractors to schedule work, oversee projects, and ensure timely completion.
· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance schedules.
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the maintenance team.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in maintenance-related field is a plus.
· Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in an industrial setting, preferably in steel fabrication or similar industries.
· Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge.
· Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair tools and equipment.
· Carpentry skills applicable to building maintenance.
· Familiarity with welding, power supplies, and CNC equipment.
· Self-reliant team player with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
· Excellent prioritization skills to manage work and maintain shop production progress.
· Good communication skills, both oral and written.
· Ability to work with outside contractors to schedule work and ensure completion.
