Qualifications:
- High school diploma and certification as a licensed practical nurse
- Associates degree in Nursing preferred
- American Heart BLS & ACLS
Tennova Newport Convalescent Center is an intermediate long-term care facility for individuals who are no longer able to care for themselves. We offer compassionate and attentive care in a safe, healing environment. Our 56-bed center features a secure, home-like atmosphere where residents can decorate their rooms with personal furniture as well as plants, special photographs, and their own blankets or quilts.
Tennova Newport Convalescent Center accommodates a wide variety of residents and offers:
- Professional nursing care 24 hours a day, seven days a week
- Rehabilitative care for residents in need of physical, occupational and/or speech therapy
- Daily menus planned and supervised by a registered dietitian
- Three nutritious meals per day prepared by the kitchen staff at Newport Medical Center
- A safe and effective method for managing residents’ medications, with a pharmacist checking for drug interactions and allergies
