What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Teacher (Grades 6-8) position at Newport Middle & High School?
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver specially designed direct instruction, initiate and complete student evaluations, facilitate IEP meetings and effective case management, meet IEP goals and objectives, and implement instructional strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate, effective communicator, motivated and organized.
REQUIRED: NH special education certification.
PREFERRED: Experience with implementing specially designed instruction and case management is preferred. Knowledge of special education law and experience and understanding of the special education process.
