Newport School District is seeking a detail-oriented and student-focused Credit Recovery Coordinator to oversee the operation of the high school summer credit recovery program. This individual will be responsible for organizing and managing all aspects of the program to ensure that students have the support and resources needed to successfully recover academic credits and stay on track for graduation.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate the daily operations of the credit recovery program for high school students
Monitor student enrollment, attendance, progress, and completion of credit recovery coursework
Collaborate with guidance counselors, administrators, and teachers to verify course eligibility and ensure alignment with graduation requirements
Provide support to students and staff using online learning platforms (e.g., Edgenuity, PLATO, Apex, etc.)
Troubleshoot technical or access issues related to online platforms
Supervise and support instructional staff and/or paraprofessionals working within the program
Maintain accurate records and provide regular progress updates to school administration
Communicate with families as needed regarding student progress, expectations, and completion
Qualifications:
Valid NH educator certification (preferred)
Experience in secondary education, preferably with credit recovery or alternative learning environments
Strong organizational and communication skills
Familiarity with online learning platforms and student information systems
Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and maintain student confidentiality
Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to supporting diverse learners
