Newport School District is seeking a detail-oriented and student-focused Credit Recovery Coordinator to oversee the operation of the high school summer credit recovery program. This individual will be responsible for organizing and managing all aspects of the program to ensure that students have the support and resources needed to successfully recover academic credits and stay on track for graduation.Responsibilities: Coordinate the daily operations of the credit recovery program for high school studentsMonitor student enrollment, attendance, progress, and completion of credit recovery courseworkCollaborate with guidance counselors, administrators, and teachers to verify course eligibility and ensure alignment with graduation requirementsProvide support to students and staff using online learning platforms (e.g., Edgenuity, PLATO, Apex, etc.)Troubleshoot technical or access issues related to online platformsSupervise and support instructional staff and/or paraprofessionals working within the programMaintain accurate records and provide regular progress updates to school administrationCommunicate with families as needed regarding student progress, expectations, and completionQualifications: Valid NH educator certification (preferred)Experience in secondary education, preferably with credit recovery or alternative learning environmentsStrong organizational and communication skillsFamiliarity with online learning platforms and student information systemsAbility to work independently, problem-solve, and maintain student confidentialityStrong interpersonal skills and commitment to supporting diverse learners
