The Role
Analyzes, audits, reconciles and resolves complex payroll processing and employee payroll issues to ensure smooth payroll processing. Ensures payroll reporting and payments are compliant with company policy, generally accepted accounting principles, and federal, state and IRS regulations. Researches and interprets federal and state regulatory requirements and resolves tax, withholding, garnishment, and wage/hour issues for payroll processing. Responds to auditing and regulatory inquiries. May work with system programmers to achieve solutions or administer company payroll system with outside service provider.
Duties
Payroll Manager 3 will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the payroll department. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master’s Degree and 6 years of relevant experience

Duties
Payroll Manager 3 will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the payroll department. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring time records are captured and completely and in accordance with all applicable policies, procedures, and union contracts.
- All data entered by the payroll team is completed timely and accurately and all errors or inconsistencies are are resolved timely.
- Ensure employee deductions, W4, direct deposit charges are accurate, and garnishments are processed and remitted in accordance with law.
- Provide training to team on policies, regulations, and processes.
- Assist team members with resolving errors and responding to inquiries.
- First level of escalation for complaints or complex error resolution.
- Should be committed to detail and quality, have a proven ability to function well under pressure and good time management, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master’s Degree and 6 years of relevant experience

- NNS Apprentice School graduate
- Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
- Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
- Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
- High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
- High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
