Overview
The Barback is responsible for supporting the bartender team, primarily responsible for operating the tap station for draft beer and frozen cocktails, restocking, and customer service assistance during peak demand.
Responsibilities
- Assist with opening procedures, including cleaning work stations, cutting fruit & vegetables for garnishes, stocking coolers, filling ice bins, replenishing cup, straw, and napkin dispensers, and batching pre-mixed cocktails.
- Operate tap station, including pouring draft beer and mixing frozen cocktails.
- Restock products and ice throughout the day.
- Assist bartenders with preparing customer orders and processing customer payments via cash or card using point of sale system.
- End of Day procedures, including bar restocking, cleaning work stations, entering tips.
Qualifications
Well-qualified candidates should be friendly, outgoing, and committed, with the ability to work in a high-volume, outdoor environment. Candidates must be team players and maintain a professional disposition when interacting with customers and other team members. Candidates must be able to accurately prepare bills, complete credit card charges, and handle cash. The position requires service-oriented individuals who are dedicated to creating an excellent customer experience.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years or older.
- At least 1-year of bar or restaurant-based work experience is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of mixology and ability to prepare classic cocktails a plus.
- Must have current TIPS certification
Schedule
Typical hours are Saturday, 1:30PM - 9:00PM (12:30PM - 8:00PM in September). Candidates must be available June - August/September.
