We need a highly skilled, experienced Concrete Dispatch Manager who is committed to providing outstanding customer service and has a keen eye for operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring:
- Concrete Dispatch Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in concrete dispatching is required.
- Mixer Truck Knowledge: Experience operating a mixer truck is a plus.
- Customer Service Skills: 5 years of customer service experience, able to handle a busy environment with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Multitasking & Communication Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, communicate clearly with customers and team members, and follow through on open items.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Abilities: Exceptional analytical skills with a focus on finding quick, effective solutions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong math, reading, writing, and map-reading skills.
- Phone & Interpersonal Skills: Skilled at managing high-volume calls with professionalism and empathy.
The Role at a Glance:
As a Concrete Dispatch Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring efficient scheduling, seamless customer service, and optimal utilization of trucks and equipment. You’ll work closely with Plant Managers, Mixer Drivers, Pump Operators, and other key departments to deliver quality service to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor Equipment Status: Track mixer and pump truck status in real-time to maximize utilization and meet customer timelines.
- Coordinate Schedules: Collaborate with Plant Managers, Dispatch, Sales, QC, and Ops to assign trucks and staff based on DOT regulations and availability.
- Customer Interaction: Answer a multi-line phone system, addressing customer needs, quoting prices, processing orders, and providing product information.
- Order Management: Accurately enter customer orders into the system while communicating with customers over the phone.
- Delivery Scheduling: Schedule deliveries efficiently to ensure on-time service.
- Documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and promptly.
- Confidentiality: Handle sensitive information with discretion.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Team Support: Assist other team members as needed.
- Safety Practices: Maintain a safe work environment and wear personal protective equipment as required.
- Injury Reporting: Report any work-related injuries or accidents to the manager immediately.
- Adaptability & Decision-Making: Work under pressure, handle last-minute changes, and make swift, effective decisions.
- Flexibility: Ability to work long and flexible hours, including some Saturdays as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's Degree or High School Diploma with equivalent work experience.
Schedule:
We offer a guaranteed 40-hour workweek with some flexibility for additional hours and Saturdays as needed.
