What we’re looking for:
We are looking for a candidate that has:
- At least 2 years of dispatching experience is REQUIRED
- Ready-mix batching experience and experience operating a mixer truck is a plus
- 5 years of customer service experience.
- Able to multi- task in a fast-paced environment all while maintaining a positive attitude while working with customers and other team members.
- Exceptional communication skills are expected as well was the ability to follow through with outstanding items.
- Must be dependable, team oriented, have common sense and good judgement.
- Excellent reading, writing and math skills (including map reading).
- Exceptional phone skills are expected.
- Must possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
The Role at a Glance:
- Monitor mixer and pump truck status on a constant basis to ensure customer satisfaction and maximum equipment and labor utilization.
- Work closely with Plant Managers, Mixer Drivers, Pump Operators, Area Managers and Dispatch Manager to schedule trucks and jobs based upon hours of service per DOT laws. Work with each department to avoid or address issues, concerns or problems. Works closely with others in Dispatch, Sales, QC and Ops Departments to ensure equipment availability and to relay information on specific projects and jobs.
- Answer multi-line phone system and interact with customers to field complaints, quote prices, process orders, and provide information about our products and services.
- Accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task is essential, as this is a fast-paced position in a busy office environment.
- Must be proficient at entering customer order information into the computer while talking to the customer on the phone.
- Schedules orders to ensure timely deliveries.
- Complete all paperwork in its entirety and forward as applicable.
- Must exercise discretion, as position requires the handling of confidential information

- Perform multiple tasks under stressful situations over long periods of time while maintaining proper composure.

- Must be able to quickly adapt to changes and be capable of making decisions while under pressure.
