Newport School District is seeking a dynamic and student-centered Middle School Math/Science Teacherto provide instruction for our summer program, July 7-August 1, 2025. This role focuses on helping students in grades 68 recover competencies in mathematics and science through targeted instruction, personalized learning, and hands-on support.Responsibilities: Plan and deliver standards-aligned instruction in middle school math and/or science to students requiring competency recovery.Assess student progress and adjust instruction to support individual learning needs.Collaborate with the summer program team to track student participation and success.Create a supportive, engaging, and structured learning environment.Provide timely feedback to students and maintain communication with program coordinators and families as needed.Maintain accurate attendance and progress data for reporting and documentation.Qualifications: Valid NH Teaching Certification in Middle School Math and/or Science (or equivalent in other states).Experience working with middle school students in a differentiated or competency-based learning environment.Strong instructional and classroom management skills.Ability to motivate and support students in a short-term, accelerated learning model.Familiarity with digital tools and platforms for assessment and instruction is a plus.
