NewsChannel 21, the dominant news leader in Central Oregon since 1977, has an exciting opportunity within our Operations department : we are looking for a Part-time On-Air Technician to join our control room team and help run our award winning morning newscasts weekdays.
We'll teach the Morning On-Air Tech (i.e., you) how to run all aspects of the control room including directing a newscast, operating a Wheatstone audio console, creating basic graphics for the news and ensuring over-air content is ready. We're looking for someone who is attentive to detail, can handle multiple responsibilities, enjoys learning new things, and thrives working in a fast-paced but fun and creative environment.
Television is a changing industry, so we would like someone (i.e., you again) to be adaptable to new technologies and workflows. You should possess basic computer skills and have reliable transportation, which is a must for this opportunity. If you think this is the job for you, then we'd like to meet you.
