EVENING REPORTING CENTER COURT CASE MANAGER
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Purpose of Classification:
The purpose of this classification is to manage an assigned caseload of participants in the Juvenile Court’s Evening
Reporting Center, to monitor and coordinate treatment and related services, and to serve as a liaison between judicial
officers, program participants, families, and treatment providers.
Essential Functions:
The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude
them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties
may be required and assigned.
Under the guidance of the Court Administrator and ERC Intake Officer, will assist in performing general program
duties: provides information/assistance to participants regarding ERC rules, regulations, services, procedures, forms,
fees or other issues; obtains medical, mental health, demographic, drug and alcohol usage, and other program
related information from participants.
Is present during the scheduled program hours and ensures the fidelity of the program and safety of participants:
opening and closing building appropriately; assist in deescalating and managing behaviors of participants; creates
and maintains an incentive system to promote positive behavior; follows safety protocol of the Juvenile Court.
Provides case management services: coordinates with treatment providers on the development and monitoring of
comprehensive treatment plans if deemed appropriate; collaborates with participants, family, schools, employers,
support systems, and service providers to implement services; maintains contact with participants, family members,
service providers, schools, and employers, as necessary, to monitor progress and program compliance; prepares,
completes and distributes reports, letters, or other case related documents; and
Participates in court appearances for program participants as directed: attends court sessions as needed to provide
Judge with information regarding participants’ progress and compliance with program treatment and activities;
attend staffing meetings attended by ERC team members; assist in maintaining program calendars; and notifies
participants of court dates, meetings, etc. as needed.

Maintains participant case notes in departmental database: documents participant communications, services
provided, drug screen results, and participant progress or regression; inputs, updates and changes information in
case management program as needed; and maintains attendance records.
Identifies community resources designed to meet the needs of participants and families: refers participants and
families to community outreach and social service programs as needed.
Processes a variety of documentation associated with department/division operations, within designated
timeframes and per established procedures: prepares, completes, receives, reviews, processes, forwards or retains,
as appropriate, various forms, reports, correspondence, treatment case plans, treatment notes, drug screen results,
and other documentation; compiles data for further processing or for use in preparation of department reports; and
maintains computerized and/or hardcopy records.
Operates a personal computer to enter, retrieve, review or modify data, utilizing word processing, spreadsheet,
database, Internet, e-mail, or other software; and operates general office or other equipment as necessary to
complete essential functions.
Communicates with supervisor, other County employees, treatment providers, school staff, participants, families,
attorneys, the public, and other individuals as needed to coordinate work activities, review status of work, exchange
information, or resolve problems.
Provides transportation for participants if deemed necessary utilizing county vehicles: completion of county
requirements to operate a county vehicle.
Additional Functions:
Performs other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field; supplemented by three years of experience in
case management and court-ordered programs; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and
experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Specific License or Certification Required: Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities: Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in performance of the essential
functions and learn, comprehend, and apply all County or departmental policies, practices, and procedures necessary
to function effectively in the position.

Physical Ability: Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve
some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds). Tasks may involve
extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation.
Sensory Requirements: Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors, sounds,
taste, odor, and visual cues or signals. Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.
Environmental Factors: Essential functions are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental
conditions.
