What are the responsibilities and job description for the Donation Receiver position at Newton Et Cetera Shop?
Full-Time Equivalent: 1.0 FTE (40 hours/week)
Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 9:00 am-5:30 pm

- Able to communicate effectively with donors, customers, volunteers & staff.

Duties:
- Communicate store information, donation guidelines, and mission to donors.
- Bring in donations, sort and channel donations to the proper departments, and carry out purchases to customers.
- Screen donations for quality, turn away unacceptable donations, and communicate with the Workroom Manager when conflicts arise.
- Oversee organization and cleanliness of donations and large item area.
- Assist Workroom Manager with recycling and salvage programs; assist in monitoring recycling and salvage receptacles.
- Perform other tasks as requested by management.
Daily Operations:
- Assist in managing daily operations with other staff, including opening, closing, and securing the building.
- Assist volunteers, donors, and customers as needed.
- Remove trash from workroom and sales floor.
- Break down cardboard boxes for recycling.
- Sweep workroom floor.
- Mop workroom floor (Saturday).
- Perform other tasks as requested by management.
Reports to: General Manager, Workroom Manager, Retail Manager, and Assistant Manager

Pay: From $12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
