POSITION TITLE: Kindergarten Summer Academic Enrichment Teacher (K)
LOCATION: Reed Intermediate School
START DATE: June 30, 2025
SALARY RANGE: $50/Hour or teacher per diem; whichever is greater. $50/Hour for non-district staff.
Qualifications:
- Valid Connecticut Teaching Certification for this position (013), (005), (112), and (305).
- Experience teaching Kindergarten is required.
- Effective classroom management skills that promote a positive, learning environment.
- Strong knowledge of the Bridges Math program and FUNdations program.
- High regard for confidentiality.
- Commitment to promoting a positive culture for students and staff.
- Ability to follow directions and to be flexible with assignments.
Responsibilities:
- Review the provided student performance information to design and implement quality and diverse, small-
- You will need to assess student performance at the beginning and conclusion of the program.
- Prepare individual, student summer analyses for next year’s classroom teacher and other school personnel.
- The ability to equally support diverse learners.
- Commitment to the following schedule: June 30, 2025 through July 24, 2025 (Monday – Thursday). Planned
- Program hours on the above referenced dates are 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. One (1) additional hour is compensated on
- Attend a mandatory, staff planning meeting on June 24, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. You are compensated for
- Perform your duties and responsibilities, as described in the district’s Teacher Job Description.
- Maintain the districts expected code of conduct and ethics.
- Provide a safe and nurturing learning environment for all learners.
- Other activities as assigned by the Program Administrator and or Director of Continuing Education.
- This program is dependent on enrollment.
