Transplant Coordinator - RN - Lung Program - Days
The Center for Lung Disease and Transplantation at NewYork-Presbyterian is one of the nation’s top lung transplant programs for volume and outstanding graft and patient survival. Founded in 1985 as one of the nation's first lung transplant programs, we perform over 60 transplants each year on some of the most medically complex patients. Our Coordinators have access to some of the best and brightest clinicians in the world to help ensure our patients success and their professional development. As a transplant coordinator, you will oversee the patients progress from the time they are referred through their transplant surgery; educate patients and their supports about the many facets of transplantation; assist in the clinical management of patients, and ensure high quality, regulatory compliant service is provided.
This is a full time Monday-Friday 9AM - 5PM position (5 days/week) at NewYork-Presbyterian/ Columbia University Medical Center. On call requirement is for transplant coordination.
Preferred Criteria
- Transplant experience
- Experience in ICU or PACU
- Self-motivated, energetic, autonomous
Required Criteria
- At least three years of acute care experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Current New York State RN OR PA license
- BCLS certification
