Project Leader Finance Operations – Weill Cornell - ACN
In this role, your collaboration and relationship building skills will be key as you partner with NYPH operational and provider leadership at Columbia University and Weill Cornell Medical Center to support operational excellence initiatives and financial performance improvement projects. Partner with management/leadership to plan, define, and scope operational improvement projects for Finance / Revenue Cycle departments that drive productivity, improve data quality and reporting, enhance compliance with regulations and standards, and facilitate business objectives. Execute the entire development life cycle of projects including analysis, design, implementation, evaluation, and knowledge transfer. Manage project progress closely to ensure deliverables are timely and within budget. Review project deliverables for completeness and quality. Documents and communicates progress against project plans. Identifies barriers and addresses or escalates as needed and negotiates changes to commitments with relevant stakeholders. Use various hospital IT systems to pull quantitative data and research accounts. Designs templates for the collection of qualitative data through external research and internal interviews and observations. Develops and prepares complex analyses and communicates findings. Works with internal stakeholders to understand reporting needs and assists in modification of existing reports and development of new reports in order to monitor metrics and measures impact of projects.
As Project Leader, you'll work closely with Divisional and NYPH leadership to manage a portfolio of projects, develop project plans and charters, engage multi-disciplinary teams, partner with analytics specialists to develop performance improvement dashboards, identify project risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and submit project reports to key stakeholders.
Required Criteria
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience, including at least 1 year of project management.
- Professional presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively with staff at all levels of the organization.
