Located inside of the Elite Gaming Arena in historical Clinton Square. The Underground Restaurant is part quick service restaurant serving up gourmet glizzies, pizzas and milkshakes. The Underground also holds various types of events and provides exceptional culinary experiences.
We are seeking a motivated, detail oriented kitchen team member to assist with cooking, prepping and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, including tasks like cooking, prepping ingredients, washing dishes and cleaning equipment.
Here's a more detailed breakdown of a Kitchen Helper's responsibilities:
Food Preparation & Support:
- Ingredient Preparation: Washing, peeling, cutting, and slicing vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients.
- Food Assembly: Assisting with assembling dishes and preparing salads and desserts.
- Cooking: Will assist with basic cooking tasks like pizzas and glizzies.
- Inventory Support: Assisting with receiving and storing food deliveries, organizing storage areas, and communicating inventory needs to supervisors.
- Serving Support: May help with serving food, restocking food bars, and answering customer questions.
Cleaning & Maintenance:
- Dishwashing: Washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
- Equipment Cleaning: Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
- Floor Maintenance: Sweeping, mopping, and maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen floor.
- Garbage Disposal: Taking out trash and replacing garbage bags.
- Stocking and Organization: Organizing and stocking kitchen supplies and utensils.
Other Duties:
- Adhering to Health and Safety Regulations: Following food safety procedures and maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
- Communication: Communicating kitchen needs to supervisors and other staff members.
- Assisting with Other Tasks: Performing other duties as assigned by the chef or kitchen manager.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.35 - $19.00 per hour
