Fabrication & Welding Project Manager

Nexeo HR is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in welding, machining, and fabrication. This role is crucial for managing projects from conception to completion, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. The Project Manager will oversee projects by coordinating timelines, schedules, and resources from the initial sale through final billing. They will work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure manufacturing feasibility, product development, and on-time delivery. This position requires a deep understanding of welding and machining processes to generate accurate quotes and manage projects effectively.

Responsibilities

• Quote projects for current and potential customers.

• Maintain monthly invoice quotas.

• Collaborate with customers on project concepts, defining scope and objectives.

• Develop shop take-off drawings for manufacturing.

• Prepare project budgets and manage resource allocation.

• Create and manage detailed project schedules.

• Work with purchasing material procurement and resolve supply issues.

• Monitor projects to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

• Report project progress and schedules to customers.

• Manage project budgets to maintain profitability.

• Assess build plans and optimize production procedures for efficiency.

• Identify and mitigate project risks related to scope, schedule, and costs.

• Coordinate with Planning, Scheduling, and Quality teams to meet expectations.

• Conduct post-project reviews for accuracy in billing, budget, and customer expectations.

• Ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.

• Facilitate regular production meetings to address schedule and project concerns.

• Develop technical presentations for customers.

• Provide guidance to shop floor supervisors to ensure seamless execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.

• 3-5 years previous experience of proven experience in sales and project management within the welding/machining/fabrication industry.

• Strong leadership and organizational skills.

• Proficiency in SolidWorks and MRP systems.

• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

• Ability to manage budgets, process improvement initiatives, and cost controls.

• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical abilities.

• Ability to meet deadlines and coordinate multiple departments efficiently.

• Physical ability to work in an industrial setting, operate machinery, and lift up to 100 lbs.

Pay

$65k – 100k DOE

Schedule

Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Monday - Friday

*Relocation Package offered (TBD)
