Nexeo is seeking a skilled Project Manager with a strong background in welding, machining, and fabrication to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring project success, from initial quoting to final delivery, while maintaining customer satisfaction and company profitability. The ideal candidate will have hands-on industry experience to effectively quote and manage projects.
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects from inception to completion. This includes quoting work, overseeing production timelines, collaborating with multiple departments, and ensuring on-time, on-budget project delivery. Your role will bridge the gap between the Sales / Engineering teams and Manufacturing, ensuring seamless execution and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate quotes for current and prospective customers.
- Maintain monthly invoicing quotas.
- Collaborate with customers on project concepts, defining scope and objectives.
- Develop shop take-off drawings and deliver to the production team.
- Plan project budgets and manage resource allocation efficiently.
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules.
- Utilize multiple software platforms to enter, schedule, and track projects.
- Work with purchasing and follow up on material availability.
- Monitor production progress to ensure on-time delivery.
- Provide updates to customers regarding project timelines.
- Work closely with planning, scheduling, and quality teams to meet expectations.
- Manage project costs and ensure profitability.
- Assess new build plans and optimize production procedures.
- Implement process improvements for efficiency and quality.
- Conduct project performance reviews to identify areas for improvement.
- Lead meetings with manufacturing staff to discuss schedules and resolve issues.
- Communicate with customers and internal teams to ensure seamless execution.
Qualifications
65K - $100K Per Year DOE
Schedule
Monday – Friday | 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM | Flexibility based on project demands
