The Job:
The Manager, Affiliate Marketing is responsible for working with the VP and SVP of Distribution and Affiliate Marketing to engage CW affiliated stations to promote CW content including Prime Time and Sports. The Manager will establish relationships with major affiliate groups, e.g., Gray, Sinclair, TEGNA, and Hearst to create custom plans based on market size and geographic location. In addition, the Manger will establish relationships with Nexstar owned and operated affiliates to ensure our Nexstar O&O’s are equipped with daily, weekly, and monthly, content specific, sales assets. The Manger will work with internal teams to coordinate and plan annual summer road shows in advance of the beginning of the broadcast year to introduce and promote upcoming content. Finally, the Manager will coordinate with the Manger of Partnership Marketing to establish efficiencies and consistencies across affiliate and distribution partners.

The Daily:
- Increase awareness and drive tune-in to the CW through affiliated partners.
- Establish the CW value proposition for affiliates to help secure and increase license fees for renewals.
- Develop successful marketing campaigns/tactics for key content providers (e.g., NASCAR, WWE) that can be measured via ratings.
- Deliver, track and ensure use by affiliates of promotional materials including promos, key art, digital assets, etc.
- Work with the Consumer Marketing team to identify promo priorities for each week.
- Work with the Director of Affiliate Operations to help analyze the Nielsen promo tracker for contract compliance, financial upside and potential ratings impact.
- Coordinate and attend summer affiliate “road show” to introduce and establish best practices with affiliates to promote upcoming fall content.
- Communicate weekly with major affiliate group marketing teams to customize marketing strategies based on market size and location.
- Work with Consumer Marketing to develop plans for annual co-op spend, prioritizing markets and marquee content.
- Work at the individual station level to increase awareness via local news mentions, lower thirds, snipes, etc.
- Collaborate with the Manager of Partnership Marketing to create efficiencies with marketing materials for affiliates and distributors alike.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field.
- Proven ability in successfully creating high-quality and high-impact marketing campaign materials.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining strong internal and external relationships.
- Strong understanding of the cable and telecommunications industry and related trends.
- Excellent communication skills; written, oral and presentation.
- Ability to think creatively and strategically and also manage tactical execution.
- Ability to manage project budgets and timelines.
- $80K - $90K/yr commensurate with experience and skill levels.
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
