About the Role
Succeed as an Assistant Sales Manager by:
- Supporting the Sales Manager in leading the sales team and improving individual sales representatives' skills through coaching and training.
- Developing and implementing new hire training for sales representatives to ensure they are effective and efficient.
- Planning and executing weekly sales meetings.
- Taking part in ride-along training with sales representatives.
- Using observation and demonstration to train sales representatives in-home.
- Debriefing with sales reps and documenting results.
- Providing performance feedback to improve overall performance.
- Analyzing individual and team sales metrics to determine focus areas of training.
- Participating in sourcing, recruiting, and selecting sales representatives.
- Maintaining accurate data and utilizing CRM tools to drive business and achieve goals.
- Partnering with sales reps to resolve open questions and issues post-remeasure process.
- Assigning sales appointments based on predefined distribution rules.
Requirements
To succeed as an Assistant Sales Manager, you'll need:
- Previous management experience.
- Five-plus years of in-home sales experience preferred.
- Prior knowledge of general construction applications and terminology or window and door applications is desirable.
- Strong computer skills and ability to manage computer-based information.
- Planning and goal-setting skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- The ability to use sound judgment and make objective decisions at all times.
