Job Description:
We are seeking a Java Developer with Mainframe expertise for a fully onsite role in Omaha, NE with our client, Fiserv. The ideal candidate will have strong Java development skills along with experience in mainframe technologies to support and enhance critical financial applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain Java-based applications integrated with Mainframe systems.
- Work with COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS to support legacy applications and modernize existing systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and design technical solutions.
- Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions for high-availability systems.
- Ensure compliance, security, and regulatory standards in all development activities.
- Participate in code reviews, system testing, and deployment activities.
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in Java development.
- Hands-on experience with Mainframe technologies (COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS).
- Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST APIs.
- Familiarity with MQ, WebSphere, or other middleware technologies.
- Experience working in financial services or banking environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and ability to work in collaborative teams.
