Inpatient Hospital Coding Specialist

All Inpatient Hospital Coding Specialist candidates will have the following job responsibilities:
- As a Coding Integrity Specialist III WORK FROM HOME, you will review and evaluate hospital inpatient medical record documentation to assign, sequence, edit and/or validate the appropriate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10- PCS codes.
- A CIS III performs coding and/or code/DRG validation across multiple entities by applying all appropriate coding guidelines and criteria for code selections.

All Inpatient Coding Specialist candidates must meet the following minimum job qualifications:
Role: Hospital Coding Specialist (Inpatient)
Shift: M-F 8a-5p PST; weekends and Overtime are optionalWeekly Guaranteed Hours: 40Weekend Hours:, OT and weekends are usually optional but can be mandatory depending on business needs.( All Positions are Hourly)
Licenses: NoneRequired Certifications: CCS, CPC, and/or CIC Coding credential required. (Excludes apprenticeship classification)Experience Required: Experience with DRG's and PCS coding for TRUE IP Facility Experience; For inpatient HB coders, ICD-CM-PCS and DRG are what stand out from a Profee resume of someone that is INP PB. For Specialist: A minimum of 2-5 years of previous inpatient coding experience is required. Experience in acute care facility inpatient and/or Trauma Level II coding preferred. For Senior Specialist: A minimum of 5-8 years of outpatient coding experience is required. Experience in medical billing, and Professional Billing EMR workflows is preferred.
Computer/Typing: Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Power Point, Excel, and Word. Must have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
Pay Range: $29.71 - $41.60 based on experience.
