Description:
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical support to the Accounts Payable team. This role will ensure invoices and payments are efficiently, timely and accurately processed, approved, audited, and reconciled in the Accounts Payable system
- Ensure all information and GL coding are accurate for invoices in AP automation tool.
- Ensure all invoices in AP automation tool are captured, routed, and matched properly or perform corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain AP inquiry email inbox to ensure all tickets are assigned and resolved within two business days.
- Reconcile vendor statements monthly or more often as needed.
- Initiate Weekly Payment Journals for Wires, ACH, Checks, direct debits, and credit card payments
- Audit and approve all necessary non-product purchase orders (PO) in ERP system
- Provide timely, accurate, and professional customer service for both external and internal customers
- Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- Associates Degree or equivalent specific experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in Accounts Payable.
- Intermediate experience in accounting systems.
- Proficiency with Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, mathematical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Must have the ability to complete assignments within the timeframe specified by the Manager.
- Must be flexible regarding working hours and overtime. Must be able to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.
- Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
