Senior PL/SQL Developer with Performance Tuning Expertise

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PL/SQL Developer with a strong background in performance tuning and PL/SQL code optimization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of database architecture, query optimization, and the ability to write efficient, scalable, and maintainable PL/SQL code. While the primary focus is on PL/SQL development and performance tuning, experience with cloud technologies (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - OCI) is a significant plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, optimize, and maintain complex PL/SQL code for high-performance database systems.

• Perform in-depth performance tuning of SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and packages.

• Analyze and resolve database performance issues, including query execution plans, indexing strategies, and resource utilization.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement efficient database solutions.

• Ensure code quality, scalability, and maintainability through best practices and code reviews.

• Provide expertise in database design, data modeling, and optimization techniques.

• Assist with migration or integration efforts involving cloud-based database solutions (OCI or other cloud platforms) as needed.

• Document technical specifications, processes, and performance tuning strategies.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in PL/SQL development with a focus on performance tuning.

• Strong expertise in Oracle Database, including advanced PL/SQL programming, query optimization, and database performance tuning.

• Proficiency in analyzing and optimizing execution plans, indexing, partitioning, and other database performance techniques.

• Experience with database design, data modeling, and normalization.

• Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions, particularly Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), is a plus.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Knowledge of other database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) or programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) is a bonus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) or other database monitoring tools.

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for database automation.
