We are looking for a Sales Manager to support the Knoxville market. This role is based in our Knoxville, TN office and reports to the VP of Sales - Central Region.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve growth and meet sales targets by effectively managing the sales team.
- Implement a strategic sales plan to expand the customer base.
- Coach, mentor, and train sales representatives.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding their needs.
- Present sales, revenue, and expense reports with realistic forecasts to executive leadership.
- Identify emerging market trends and competition dynamics to remain ahead in the industry.
- Network within the local community to generate new business opportunities.
- Exemplify proactive sales techniques such as cold calling and responding to leads.
- Train sales reps on territory management and delivering excellent customer service.
- Become a subject matter expert on all products, services, and solutions offered.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Proven success in outside sales with a minimum of 2 years in sales leadership roles.
- Strong track record of driving the sales process from planning to closing.
- Business acumen and a strong understanding of industry trends (or a willingness to learn).
- Exceptional mentoring, coaching, and team management skills.
