The Plant Manager is responsible for driving improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost by implementing lean manufacturing principles. This role will lead lean transformation, optimize operations, and develop a high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Lean Transformation: Implement lean methodologies, transitioning from batch production to flow and improving machine reliability (OEE).
- Foster Continuous Improvement: Cultivate a culture focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost, ensuring continuous improvement at all levels.
- Optimize Operations: Focus on quick wins to improve processes and employee engagement, while driving long-term improvements through lean tools.
- Enhance Efficiency: Reduce scrap, improve labor efficiency, and manage costs, including direct labor, overhead, and inventory.
- Strategic Leadership: Align plant operations with business goals, develop KPIs, and drive performance through lean coaching.
- Team Development: Build and mentor a high-performance team, ensuring clear communication and strong morale.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and finance to meet customer-driven priorities and resolve production issues.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 10 years of leadership in manufacturing with proven success in lean transformations and high-volume production.
- Skills: Expertise in lean tools, process optimization, and OEE. Strong communication and leadership skills, with a hands-on, results-driven approach.
