Our client, a fast-growing real estate firm is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join their finance team. Responsibilities:
General Accounting:
- Assist the senior accountants in recording day-to-day financial transactions accurately and timely.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of accounting records by verifying and reconciling documentation and resolving discrepancies.
- Process journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Process accounts payable invoices, reconcile vendor statement discrepancies, and initiate payments.
- Collect and record tenant rental payments, apply them accurately, and maintain tenant accounts.
- Assist in managing accounts receivable, send monthly statements, and follow up on outstanding balances as needed.
Bank Reconciliations:
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate recording of transactions.
- Investigate any discrepancies and resolve issues proactively.
- Prepare and submit regular cash flow reports to management.
Qualifications:
- 0-2 years of experience
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- In the process of obtaining CPA (3 or more parts of CPA exam completed) preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
The salary is between $50,000 - $65,000 depending on experience
