Jr. Accountant
General Responsibilities:
The Junior Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the accounting team with day-to-day financial tasks. This role involves assisting with maintaining financial records, helping prepare financial reports, processing customer billing, and providing support during audits. The Junior Staff Accountant will learn and develop fundamental accounting skills while gaining practical experience in a professional setting.
Duties/Responsibilities:

General Ledger & Journal Entries
- Assist in maintaining the general ledger and recording basic journal entries under supervision.
- Help ensure accuracy and timeliness during monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes.
Financial Reporting
- Support the preparation and distribution of internal financial statements and reports.
- Ensure high standards of accuracy and reliability.
Billing
- Assist in generating and sending invoices to customers.
- Maintain accurate customer records and help with the upload of invoices to customer portals.
- Collaborate with Sales and Operations to ensure customer accounts are accurately set up.
Accounts Payable
- Help process invoices and payments, ensuring they are handled in a timely and accurate manner.
• Bank Reconciliation
- Support the reconciliation of bank accounts, ensuring transactions are accounted for and documented.
Tax & Audit Assistance
- Assist in gathering documentation for tax preparation and audits.
- Provide basic support during external audits by organizing necessary documents.
Compliance
- Learn about internal policies and financial regulations, ensuring compliance.
Continuous Improvement
- Observe and suggest improvements to accounting processes as appropriate.
Miscellaneous
- Respond to inquiries from management and other departments with guidance.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
SKILLS/ABILITIES

REQUIREMENTS
- Basic understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or coursework in accounting.
- Familiarity with financial software or ERP systems is a plus but not required.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and act professionally.
- Must be able to work onsite 5 days a week (Monday-Friday)
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Must successfully pass a background check and provide proof of work authorization and complete an I-9 and E-Verify process.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- No prior work experience required, but relevant internships or coursework are a plus.

Salary : $49,700 - $62,800
