A leading commercial construction and property management organization with properties across the country is looking for a Construction Accountant. Construction Accountant Responsibilities :
- Month-end close primarily related to construction activities for an assigned portfolio of properties
- Reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts & prepare variance analysis
- Review and approve construction related invoices for designated portfolio
- Review construction related billings for coding and accuracy and ensure they have proper supporting documents
- Record, monitor and reconcile construction activities
- Resolve questions arising from unusual variances in job cost activity or construction account expenses
- Monthly journal entries with supporting documentation
- Assist external auditors
- Special projects
