FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
SUMMARY : Performs various maintenance tasks on buildings and facilities, including mechanical / electrical equipment repairs and inspections.
Responsibilities :
Oversees the work of contractors.
Maintain and replace electrical fixtures to include but not limited to, receptacles, GFI, photo cells, ballast, wiring, conduit, breakers, transformers, relays, contact points, fans, motors, pumps, etc.
Roof repairs, to include patching
Facility repairs, to include building maintenance, replacing floor or ceiling tiles, windows, door locks, etc.
Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on plumbing fixtures, water heaters, faucets, valves, fire sprinkler lines, water lines.
Installing, troubleshooting and repairing HVAC / R systems, plumbing and electrical systems. Methods and techniques used in the operation, maintenance, installation and repair of large HVAC / R systems in an industrial environment.
Preventive Maintenance and inspections of HVAC / R systems including cooling towers, air compressors and boilers.
Maintains written or electronic logs on preventative maintenance activities and safety inspection
Conduct safety inspections and checks of emergency lighting, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers and fire sprinklers.
Monitor equipment operations to maintain efficiency and safety.
Communicate verbal and written on projects and project needs to coworkers, vendors and contractors. May supervise or train other employees.
Maintain all records of evaporative cooling equipment. Replace belts, bearings and filters.
Operating a personal computer utilizing standard software such as Microsoft Office and specialized software and standard office equipment.
Assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks and demands; presenting a professional demeanor while working in stressful situations.
Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships
Clear and concise communication verbal and written.
Proper use of various power and hand tools; Interpreting blueprints and construction plans.
